Porsche's decision was made seriously, and they also told us what future they imagined to the company.
An important decision has been made by Porsche's leadership in the days - the BBC reported on. The Stuttgart company decided to no longer manufacture a diesel engine with Porsche, so ten years after the first type was sold, they stopped working.
In the background of the decision - not surprisingly - the Volkswagen diesel boom. The German company was even discovered in the year 2015 that it was cheating for many years with the emission values. As this scandal has hit many other carmakers - including the Volkswagen Group's Audit, where the Stuttgarts took the diesel engines - so Porsche decided that the sports car would no longer have a diesel variant.
Oliver Blume, CEO of Porsche, said there are no diesel engines, but in the future they will focus more on gasoline and electric drive. At the same time, the current owners of Diesel-Porsche have been reassured: they will continue to serve them.
