A German Toyota dealer does not apply for a low-cost service: its service customers refer to a hydrogen-powered Toyota Mirai rental vehicle until they repair their cars.
Hydrogen skeptics have nothing but to visit North Rhine-Westphalia: this year, the tenth public H2 filling station in Essen was handed over to Germany's most populous province. It was time for impatient motorists to open the well: the customers of the Toyota dealer network in nearby towns are free to go with the Mirai hydrogen fuel cell sedans owned by the salon group.
Last year, Glückauf Toyota, Gelsenkirchen, which operated the four trades, took its first Mirai, and after three years of experience, it ordered three more. Fuel cell sedans are handed over to service agents as a replacement car, and customers can hire them or get to know the technology of the future in a short test drive.
