Hyundai and Kia have begun developing cordless electric floorboards; the new platform will serve as the basis for many future EVs.
With the support of a California specialist, Canoo, Hyundai and Kia are developing a purely electric skateboard floorboard. The platform created by modifying Canoo's existing architecture (pictured above) incorporates all components of the transmission and chassis, using innovative, multifunctional solutions that allow engineers to reduce the number of parts, floor size and weight. All this makes it possible to build larger, lighter electric cars.
The Hyundai Group will spend a total of $ 87 billion over the next five years to prepare for future growth, that is, developing such and advanced technologies. The Hyundai and Kia brands group are aiming to reach 25 percent of global sales by 2025.
