With a semi-automatic driving assistant, smaller but powerful, turbo engines and a more fashionable design, Cadillac CT5 is back in the US market for premium car buyers.
European and Japanese rivals have tightened US premium cars in their home country. Recently, less than twenty thousand copies of the CT5 predecessor model (CTS) have been sold. That's why at Cadillac, they put on the glove and gave a new look to their limousine in the league with BMW 5, which became the CT5. The basic styling elements remain unchanged, leaving the huge chrome-plated, wide cooling mask and vertical driving lights somewhat more pronounced on the car's chassis.
It has an unmistakable American style, but the silhouette has changed a lot. Instead of the three-box limousine so far, the car has been drawn from a tall, slightly sloping roofline, making the nose and shorter the boot longer, and the more spacious cabin (wheelbase 2947 mm). This is in line with today's trends, as is the interior with a 10-inch touch screen. Underneath it, the buttons for the main functions of climate control are lined up in a lane. American cars have developed enormously with regard to the quality of the cabin, and this is true for the Cadillac CT5.
Traditionally, it is a long-wheel, rear-wheel drive car with the Cadillac CT5, as well as its predecessors. For the time being, the engine range is two-way, the smaller is a 2-liter, turbo, four-cylinder petrol engine with 237 hp and 350 Nm. The strongest version is the biturbo V6, the 3-liter engine has 335 riders and 542 Nm. In both cases, it comes with a 10-speed automatic transmission, which Cadillac claims to be unnoticed. The Super Cruise semi-automatic system is also available in CT5.
