With a moderately sporty model family and an advanced driving support system, Cadillac's latest limousine would win the home market.
The more sensitive part of the Internet did not let it be said that the new V-series of the Cadillac with compressor V8 or muscular six-cylinder engines is now much less powerful, offering more sporty models than the base. At the entry level, the CT4-V is offered, for example, with a tuned version of the four-cylinder engine from the Silverado plateau, and the CT5-V with a V6 turbo instead of the previous eight-cylinder.
The 3.0-liter V6 biturbo engine works under the Cadillac CT5-V chassis with 355 hp and 542 Nm. Includes 10-speed automatic transmission and optional all-wheel drive. The driving experience is enhanced by self-locking differential, Brembo brakes and Magnetic Ride, adaptive shock absorbers.
According to the rumors, this is needed to fight against the customers in the domestic market against the more solid six-cylinder Mercedes-AMG models and the BMW M Performance model family. For the truly muscular variants, Americans reserve the name Blackwing. At the same time, they are also working on driving support systems such as Super Cruise, with navigation data, laser-based radar and various sensors to drive cars almost independently. Like the Tesla system, it is constantly learning and driving more confidently, even if the driver does not hold the hand on the wheel.
