She built an electric dragster from Chevrolet, Camaro, which is a real sacrifice in the eyes of the gas-powered.
Mostly we like to see gasoline-fired, incense, roaring monsters from American muscle-carved dragsters that glimpse on the quarter-mile track in no time. The wind of the new times, however, is different, as is shown by the fact that Tesla Model S's toughest version of the racing car has so far been admired. True, you have to spend hours between two hard runs. To date, the Dodge Challenger Demon has shown that there is still potential in old petrol. For the Las Vegas SEMA Show, Chevrolet is also a COPO Camaro blind prepared for acceleration races. But they chose a completely different direction.
Chevrolet put an electric drive into the muscle car. The power is 700 horsepower and 815 Nm of torque, which is of course available immediately, so no problem with smoking the rear tires. It also makes it quieter than ever.
The BorgWarner HVH 250-150 electric motors were incorporated and used the true COPO Camarao fortified rear axle. The compact package is a newly developed 800 volt and consists of four units of 200 volts each, weighing approximately 80 kilograms, making it easy to place for optimal weight distribution.
No official results have been announced yet, but at Chevrolet, the rumor is that it runs a quarter mile around 9 seconds.
