It will be manufactured in China but will be available worldwide on the latest flagship DS9, Citroën's premium sister brand.
DS, CX, XM, C6: Citroën has set the standard in the big car category. The latest top sedan is already featured with the DS logo, but the role models and expectations that follow are still valid.
The DS 9 is terribly long (493 cm) and wide (185 cm), and while it's in itself not enough to put its name on the premium sedan segment, the French seem to have the ability to style it even if they haven't they have already made a high-end model.
Of course, the DS 9 is a hybrid because it has to be: the PSA's fellow Peugeot 508, already known for its 225 hp, front-wheel-drive plug-in transmission, provides up to 40-50 kilometers of pure electric range. The electric motor (110 bhp, 320 Nm) can drive up to 135 km / h on its own. The battery has a capacity of 11.9 kWh and can be recharged in 90 minutes with a 7.4 kW on-board charger.
In terms of comfort, the DS promises rear-seat comfort equivalent to front seats. Cool, heated massage armchairs await those in the outer seats, and the folding armrest features seat lighting, storage compartments and a USB charging socket along with seat control buttons.
The real luxury car can no longer be without a luxury watch: for the DS, the French BRM brand with strong motorsport attachments provides the timepiece.
