According to the study by IFUA Horváth & Partners International Management Consultant, the new electric cars launched last year had an average of 300 km, which is 10 percent longer than last year.
This value was still 150 kilometers in 2011, and in 2014 it reached 200 kilometers. The average range is calculated by experts calculating the data provided by manufacturers with the number of models sold in Germany.
Growth is not only brought with new models. Rather, it is due to the fact that manufacturers are constantly upgrading existing models. Renault has, for example, increased Zoe's range from 240 to 400 kilometers, and Volkswagen's e-Golf from 190 to 300. The longest route to a charge is 632 kilometers, according to the company, to the Tesla Model S 100D.
