Earlier this year, BMW held its usual big press conference, where further austerity measures were announced. It was already known that after 2019, their annual profit decreased, as a result of which they try to rationalize the model range. Plenty of upgrades and many new models are coming from BMW nonetheless. The 4-coupe, the all-electric i4 and iX3, and the iNext recreational car will be unveiled soon. More and more plug-in hybrid models are appearing on the palette and 48-volt mild-hybrid systems are constantly being added to cars. In addition, traditional sports models such as the M3 and with it the M4 come in a rear- and all-wheel-drive version with multiple performance levels.

The M760Li will be phased out of the European market in the fall of 2020, and America may say goodbye to it a little later. Early retirement is justified by low numbers and tightening emission standards. However, the 6.6-liter biturbo V12 used in the model doesn’t disappear from the Rolls-Royces.
