After a statement by Agriculture Minister István Nagy on Friday, the Hungarian government denied that they would relax the ban on alcohol consumption before driving.
The head of the ministry did not respond to RTL Klub Híradó's request, but the Government Information Center stated: Professional organizations recommend this every year, but most people do not support it. That is why the government has no plans to change the regulation.
That is, according to the present position, there is no plan to relax any zero tolerance. In Hungary, too, there is a strict regulation at European level for drunk driving - in the EU, only in the Czech Republic, Romania and Slovakia is it forbidden to drink alcohol before driving.
