Four consecutive July weekends are once again releasing the Freedom Bridge to the residents of Budapest, pedestrians and walkers in view of the great popularity of similar actions in previous years.
On 6-7 July, 13-14, 20-21 and 27-28 (all Saturday-Sunday), the Danube crossing is closed from road and public transport, and can only be used by pedestrians.
At the time of the closure, with the vehicles of Trolleybus 72 to Fővám Square, between Pest and Buda by metro M4 and bus lines 7 and 133E, and on the Buda section by trams 56A and 61 on the longer route. you can travel instead of trams 47, 48 and 49.
During the closure - all four weekends Saturday from 0:30 to Sunday 24 hours - the Fővám square traffic signal light operates in yellow flashing mode; those arriving from Kálvin Square will be able to turn back in front of the bridge and continue along the Belgrade Quay-Havas Street.
