At noon on Thursday, Vezess was also able to follow Audi Hungaria's report on its financial results for 2020 at an online press conference.
The epidemic also affected the production of the Győr company, but despite the restrictions, 1,661,599 engines (2019: 1,968,742) and 155,157 cars (2019: 164,817) were produced. The company had sales of € 7.518 billion in 2020 and € 8.561 billion in 2019. Profit after tax was EUR 499.1 million (HUF 183.5 billion), 114 million euros (HUF 53 billion) more than in 2019. The company’s investments last year focused mainly on the field of electromobility, including the production of electric drives and the Audi Q3 PHEV, as well as boosting production of new engine variants. In addition, it was a significant area of investment to expand the capacity of the tool factory, for example for the production of body parts for the Audi e-tron GT.
Preparations are already underway for the production of the next generation of electric drives (Premium Platform Electric - PPE), which will be integrated into the Group's various electric models in the future.
