The good news between the two holidays is that Groupama Insurance offers more than 700 million forints to its customers.
In addition to people's everyday lives, the coronavirus epidemic has significantly affected the functioning of economic actors. The field of compulsory motor third party liability insurance was not left untouched by the pandemic. Overall, motorists used less of their vehicles in 2020, causing fewer accidents.
Groupama Insurance has assessed that car owners have taken responsibility for curbing the spread of the epidemic with fewer trips, and has therefore decided to offer a one-off amount to its customers with individual compulsory motor liability insurance. In total, more than 700 million forints were offered to about 250,000 customers with individual KGFB contracts.
The amount offered will be distributed in proportion to the monthly part of the compulsory motor third party liability insurance in force on 28 December 2020. The offer is valid for all types of vehicles and is available to all individuals, sole proprietors, businesses and legal entities who have an individual, open-ended KGFB contract valid on 28 December 2020 and not terminated on 1 January 2021. At an insurance company.
Clients have a choice between the first week of January and the end of February: they can arrange for the insurer to transfer the amount offered to them, or request that it be included in their premium obligations under their existing KGFB contract, but they may also choose to: the insurer will use the amount for charitable purposes until the start of the action for the designated organization. The part of the amount that was not declared by the operators or could not be sent to them due to the lack of their account number will be used in full for the selected charitable purpose.
Affected customers will also be able to find detailed information on an online interface also available on the insurer's website . Here, they will be able to register after identification and also indicate which of the solutions available to them they choose: to keep or donate the amount offered to charity.
