A hardly known Chinese car maker set the record for the largest autonomous car parade.
The 55 vehicles of Changan Automobile took part in the record-breaking record of the "biggest autonomous car parade".
The test was carried out by the manufacturer on the test track in Dianjiang, at the end of November last year. The number of participating cars, we would think it is not accidental, because the model is called Changan CS55 but not. In principle, 56 cars were involved in the experiment, but one was excluded because the driver came to the government.
Wagons traveled at a speed of 30 km / h, the entire line took a distance of 3.2 kilometers in 9 minutes 7 seconds, which is the length of the test track.
Cars were no more than two vehicle distances apart. Otherwise, at the time of the record attempt, the cars were brought closer together than would be the case with normal normal self-guiding modes. To do this, they have been reprogrammed to self-control software instead of the normal 5 percent, only 1 percent. Of course, this also meant that the test track was a predictable environment, an enclosed environment where the chance to filter out was very safe.
