More than half of the highway stickers sold in the first half of the year were purchased by motorists not through gas stations but through electronic channels.
In the first six months of this year, 25 percent fewer e-stickers were sold at gas stations, so the share of filling stations in the 5.45 million e-stickers sold in the first half of the year fell below 50 percent due to the coronavirus epidemic.
Sales of other physical outlets - including hypermarkets, travel agencies - also declined, reducing the share of all physical outlets to 74 percent, or 4 million units, from 80 percent a year earlier.
The epidemic situation was less tolerated by resellers selling through electronic channels - application, SMS, web - channels, their share, including NÚSZ's own website, has gradually increased in recent years, reaching almost 26 percent in the first half of the year.
