The owners of cars whose traffic had expired during the emergency were doing well.
According to the government's decision, the emergency declared in Hungary due to the coronavirus epidemic ended on 18 June. Documents expired during the emergency, including marketing authorizations, have been extended.
The Ministry of Information and Technology (ITM) has informed Origo that after the emergency ended on June 18, car owners have 180 days to make up for missed technical exams.
The Emergency Measures Regulation previously stated that expiring documents are valid for 15 days after the end of the emergency, which has been pushed out for half a year.
“Marketing authorizations which have expired during the emergency or which expire within 15 days of their cessation shall be valid for 180 days after the cessation of the emergency. An important difference from the previous regulation is that the extension of the validity of the document applies not only to motor vehicles operated by private individuals, but also by companies and other legal entities, "ITM wrote.
