Mazda is preparing to launch a whole new family of models worldwide. Of these, two recreational vehicles will arrive in Europe by 2023.
After confusing Mazda-conscious car buyers with Citroën’s new leisure combination, the C5 X, it’s now the Japanese brand’s turn to smash the noses of Volvo’s product managers: the company will introduce the CX-60 between 2022 and 2023, and soon soon. later the CX-90, whose names needless to say, will collide with the Volvo XC60 and XC90 crossovers, resulting in funny misconceptions and misconceptions at dealerships.
However, before the introduction of the CX90, the CX-80 will come before the end of 2023 to enrich Mazda’s offerings alongside the CX-60. All three models represent Mazda's newly developed Large Product family, along with a fourth model: the CX-70. Here in Europe, the CX-60 and CX-80 will be available: the former two and the last three rows of seats will strengthen the brand’s portfolio, and more importantly, they will be the brand’s first plug-in hybrid models. The models will also be available with a new generation of in-line six-cylinder Skyactiv-X petrol engines and Skyactiv-D diesel.
Also in 2022, the Mazda MX-30 will be renewed: the model will receive the brand new range-boosting system (on-board power generator) that uses the brand’s old competence: Wankel engine technology. From 2025, brand new electric models will arrive on a unique platform, and from 2030, the brand will only sell electrified models, meaning there will be no cars with purely internal combustion engines.
