It accelerates to 100 km / h in 30 seconds and top speed is 306 km / h, but the Aston Martin Vantage Roadster did not reach the world record.
Unlocking its canvas in less than seven seconds, the Aston Martin Vantage Roadster, the newest member of the British manufactory, offers the fastest motorized roof lifting mechanism ever.
Equipped with a 510hp 685Nm 4.0 V8 turbo engine and eight-speed automatic transmission, the car is technically identical to the 2018 Vantage Coupe, including adaptive dampers, torque vector control system and electronically controlled self-locking differential.
Thanks to the newly developed, lightweight roof structure, it only gained 60 kilos during the convertible. In any case, the rear shock absorbers and the ESP have been tuned to different parameters due to the modified frame structure. The four-speed (standard, sport, sport plus and racing) mode switches also got unique tuning.
The roof opens in 6.7 seconds and closes in 6.8 at speeds up to 50 km / h. The boot is 200 liters.
On the roadster, Aston Martin introduces new style elements to the Vantage family. Such is the new (more precisely the old, traditional) radiator mask, which is available as an option instead of the previous model radiator grille. Instead of the eight-speed automatic, the coupe (not the convertible) can be requested with a seven-speed manual.
