The BMW passenger car, the 6-inch Gran Turismo, continues with a 48-volt mild hybrid system and an updated face.
Slightly taller than a traditional limousine, but not as big as a recreational car. That's why it's convenient to get in. With its fifth door and huge trunk, it’s almost as practical as a station wagon, but it doesn’t come with a box shape. The BMW 6 Series GT is a strange creature, but precisely because it brings something different from other BMWs not only in appearance but also in character. This great comfort passenger car has now gotten a little fresher.
The spacious cabin with the large, electrically adjustable armchairs remained, but the on-board system was upgraded to OS7 and, as in the 5 Series, the central display is 12.3 inches. In the traditional way, you can use the iDrive dial or even touch to operate the renewed interface, in which the menu items are already on the page. It also offers a speech-controlled BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant. Find all the driving support systems that the 5 has.
Each engine was equipped with a mild hybrid system with a 48-volt starter generator. This gives 11 horsepower when accelerating and supplies the on-board electrical system, for example, from the energy generated during braking. The entry model is the 620d GT, which employs a 2-liter turbo diesel with 190 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. It accelerates to 100 in 100 seconds and has a top speed of 220 km / h. Six-cylinder diesels with 286 and 340 horsepower are found on the pallet under the 630d and 640d markings.
With 333 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque, the BMW 640i xDrive GT accelerates to 6 GT in 100 seconds and has a top speed limit of 250 km / h. There will be no plug-in hybrid drive for the Gran Turismo 6.
