These cars are powered by the same electric motor as electric cars, but are not powered by heavy and slowly rechargeable batteries, but by high-pressure hydrogen that can be refueled in minutes - with reverse water decomposition.

And recently, BMW also came up with a similarly operating vehicle, the i Hydrogen NEXT, unveiled at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show, which has now reappeared on the scene in an improved version.

The near-final prototype of the model now known as the BMW iX5 Hydrogen will first be on the move at the Munich Motor Show in September.
