In the years to come, you can join the long-awaited sporty station wagon BMW, the M3 Touring.
BMW has tried combi-body sports models before, but last time they only managed to sell 1,025 units of the V10-powered M5 Touring, closing the issue for a while. The reason was typically that audiences looking for M-BMWs don’t crave the station wagon, but they’ve been considering the more familiar version of the M3 before. Now it looks like it could finally be a production car from the hitherto non-existent M3 Touring.
Referring to reliable information, the BMW Blog has announced that the M3 Touring could enter the range by 2023, which could greatly expand the M3 range. The four-door alone comes in several variants, from a 480-horsepower, manual transmission, rear-wheel drive to a 510-rider all-wheel drive with 8-speed automatic. The S58 engine, also known as the BMW X3 M, will be fitted to these cars as well.
The hope is not unfounded, as in addition to the Mercedes-AMG C 63 S T-Model and the Audi RS 4 Avant, the BMW M3 Touring would certainly have a place.
