Two special editions have been added to BMW’s offerings, which not only try to hide stereotypes, but even put a shovel on it.
BMW’s new special-edition models, made from their biggest recreational cars, can evoke mixed emotions. The Black Vermilion series will be a privilege for the X5 and X6, but the X7 will also receive a Black Frozen package.
Their name reveals a lot, the new packages focus on darkness, the two Black Vermilion series are also painted matt black, they come with the Shadow Line package with glossy black trim and a set of unique 22-inch dark gray alloy wheels. In addition, the BMW Laser Light headlights with laser technology are also fitted to cars with black interiors.
Although all black, the vertical sticks used to fill the cooling masks that shape the classic kidneys have been polished to a glaring red. The X6's backlit grille adds a bit of paddle aggression to this, so it's almost certain that even if we don't recognize the car in the mirror, we'll remember the two snarling, blood-soaked grille masks for life.
They also feature Anthracite roofing, black leather upholstery and a special engraved glass toggle switch, iDrive control and volume control. Next to them, the special edition of the X7 is a bit more restrained, ignoring the red bars, but will also be involved in traffic as a stealth giant.
With the category-creating X6 at the forefront, BMW now holds more than a quarter of a million units sold with a total of three top models. Recreational cars made in Spartanburg, USA will also be available for the European market, including special editions with in-line six-cylinder engines, plug-in hybrid powertrains or a petrol V8.
