The amount placed by CIB Lízing increased by 22 percent in the first nine months, significantly exceeding the average expansion of the market of 7 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, thus the company's market share increased from 4.9 to 5.6 percent based on new placements; they expect an increase of more than 20 percent this year - the leasing company informed MTI on Monday.
According to data published by the Hungarian Leasing Association last week on its website, the amount placed on the Hungarian leasing market in the first nine months of 2022 was HUF 596 billion.
The value of new placements in the third quarter increased by 46 percent year-on-year at CIB Lízing, the company announced to MTI.
In the first nine months of the year, the value of new contracts increased by 28.5 percent in car financing, and by almost a quarter in the field of machinery and equipment compared to a year earlier.
CIB Lízing's market share for large commercial vehicles increased to 10.1 percent based on new placements from 5.2 percent in the base period, after placements increased by 76 percent year-on-year.
The annual increase in asset financing was 19 percent in the period between January and September, thus the company's market share increased to 7.3 percent from 6.5 percent the previous year.
According to publicly available company information, CIB Lízing Zrt.'s profit after tax last year was HUF 2.955 billion, after the previous year's loss of HUF 1.204 billion. The value of the company's assets increased from HUF 106.785 billion to HUF 110.804 billion, and the value of their net financial lease receivables increased from HUF 86 billion to HUF 87.7 billion. Its equity increased from HUF 7.864 billion to HUF 10.819 billion.
