As a result of the concession procedure announced earlier by the government, the state will hand over the operation of 1,237 kilometers of expressway sections to five different companies from the beginning of September, Magyar Közút Nonprofit Zrt. announced to MTI on Thursday.
According to the announcement, MKIF Magyar Concessions Infrastructure Development Zrt., AKA Alföldi Concessions Autópalya Zrt., M6 Duna Autópalya Concessions Zrt., M6 Tolna Autópalya Concessions Zrt. and MAK Mecsek Autópalya Concessions Zrt. can take over the operation.
They informed that Magyar Közút will continue to operate 291 kilometers of expressways. In addition, in the future, it will continue to perform the tasks of maintaining 31,000 kilometers of national main and secondary roads connecting settlements and passing through them.
