In addition to the existing two, it has set up three new beehives at the site of Bentley’s UK operations, bringing the total herd to 300,000.
More and more car manufacturers are squeezing space in their facilities for nature, including bees. Now the related news has come from Bentley: in addition to their previous two hives, which were set up in the center of Crewe, near a meadow full of wildflowers, they bought three more this year, so 300,000 bees are already busy with them.
In one season, 15 kg of honey per hive is expected, which will mean a total of 200 bottles of honey. They are gifted to their business partners - on the one hand because they are delicious and valuable, and on the other hand because they can effectively raise awareness of the importance of bees in the global wildlife.
Incidentally, the news is given by the fact that yesterday was World Bee Day.
