The demand for electric cars increased by more than 20 percent in one week - Használtautó.hu told MTI on Tuesday.
According to the information, the demand for electric cars has increased dramatically compared to last year. According to data from Datahouse, pure electric models account for almost 4 percent of new car sales and not quite 2 percent of searches on Használtautó.hu, with an average of half a million searches per month. The ever-higher prices of gasoline and diesel, and their increasingly difficult availability, are now encouraging the growth of demand for electric cars even further.
Mátyás Katona, the car market expert of Használtautó.hu, highlighted in the announcement that the number of searches for electric models on their website increased by more than 20 percent on the day the companies withdrew from refueling at official prices, and the increased interest can be seen in the following days as well.
According to the analyst of Használtautó.hu, a significant increase in demand and price increase is expected for used electric cars.
