The new school year begins on Thursday, so an increase in traffic should be expected across the country - Magyar Közút Nonprofit Zrt. pointed out in Wednesday's statement.
They wrote that not only in the vicinity of the schools, but also on the roads leading to all major cities and settlements, traffic will increase compared to the summer period, especially in the morning and afternoon peak periods. The Magyar Közút therefore warned everyone to leave on time and to drive even more carefully in order to avoid accidents. Before the trip, it is worth checking the current traffic situation at the company's Road Information service, on the utinform.hu website - they added.
They pointed out that there will be more children on the roads again, so in order to avoid accidents, you must drive with extra care around educational institutions.
The road manager also asked motorists to drive with properly prepared, illuminated vehicles, in accordance with the road and visibility conditions, due to the soon-to-be autumn weather.
