The implementation of the high-emission diesel engine retrofitting initiative is continuing in Germany.
Andreas Scheuer, Federal Minister for the Environment in an interview with Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung, said that no application has ever been received by the competent authority, Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA), for the technical approval and approval of equipment to reduce emissions of older diesel engines.
"They promised to be ready with the equipment by mid-year," the minister pointed out in the interview.
"I wonder if they can keep their promises, but it seems my doubts were not completely unfounded," he added.
