Opponents of the Mercedes-Benz CLA and Audi A3 four-door will arrive from BMW in the spring of 2020, the Gran Coupé 2.
The latest test of the BMW's new Gran Coupé 2 is underway and will be joining the Bavarian new and expanding compact lineup in spring 2020. Like the latest BMW 1, it comes in a shape that suits customer needs, so it will be available in a cross-engine, essentially front-wheel drive version.
With a more pronounced cooling mask and broken line headlights, you can easily recognize it from the front, while the rear-facing lamps easily identify the Gran Coupe 2, which is actually a compact five-door model. The Gran Coupe 2 also receives the new traction control, ARB, introduced in # 1, which is integrated directly into the engine control electronics, reducing the flow of information to one-third and giving the system 10 times faster response.
The engine range is expected to start with the 1.5-liter three-cylinder, and the top of the palette will be the M235i with 306 horsepower and xDrive four-wheel drive and Torsen mechanical self-locking differential.
