A pure electric version still does not come from the super car, the next generation of which is undergoing a major boost.
The 2014 i debut BMW i8 is a poignant hybrid sport car, which is mainly seen from upwards and three-cylinder petrol engines. The type that is available in the open roadster version, which has been opened since the recent wrinkle-pickup, is supposed to develop its successor, which will be significantly stronger than the current type.
In the second-generation BMW i8, the three-cylinder 1.5 liter turbocharged petrol engine is expected to be replaced by a four-cylinder 2-liter turbocharged petrol unit, which will deliver about 300 horsepower instead of 231. To do this, the power of the electric motor driving the front wheels will be added, and in the end, we will get a drive chain that can replace the current 374 instead of about 450 horsepower system power.
It is more than likely that the battery's battery capacity increased from 7.1 to 11.6 kWh will continue to grow, and thus increase the purity of the electric range, but the i8 will never have a gasoline engine in the future.
