The Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has a plug-in hybrid drive chain for the toughest type of the Jeep brand.
When we read the news for the first time and only ran it superficially, we were convinced that some of the softwares of the Jeep will receive the FCA plug-in drive, but not the prospective Jeep Wrangler PHEV in the North American factory of the Jeep for power control electronics to manufacture a module.
The plug-in will enter the market in Wrangler 2020, one of the more than thirty or wholly electric models that will be launched by the FCA until 2022.
The factory transformer module, as well as the dual-mode charging module, will be available at the plant's Toledo (not in Spain but in Ohio, USA), which can also charge up to AC and DC charges.
The power control module is located between the exhaust and the drive shaft.
No further information is available at this time.
