Hyundai i30 Fastback N - a novelty

The safety car of the 2019 Superbike World Championship is provided by Hyundai. Based on the i30's Fastback N basics, the safety car has been given the colors of the WRC car of the factory.

Hyundai is the official fleet of the 2019 WorldSBK Superbike World Championship. As part of this, a number of leisure vehicles (Kona, Tucson) are also supplied by the Korean manufacturer of safety cars.

Based on the i30 Fastback N sports model, the safety car will be live at the Australian Superbike Grand Prix at the end of February.

The design was made using the official colors and graphics of the Hyundai Motorsport, except that the Hyundai blue elements used in the WRC and WTCR series were replaced with white, distinguishing the safety car from the racing cars.

“Safety Car is not a racing car, but it will mostly spend its life on racetracks. Only minimal modifications were required for this task, ”said Thomas Schemera, Vice President of Product Design at Hyundai.

The rear light bridge is mounted high and back, so the bikers can see it well, but it does not affect the aerodynamics of the car. The pilot and the physician will fix Sabelt racing seats in their seats.

The unique 19-inch forged alloy wheels are fitted with specially designed Pirelli P Zero tires, and the pads are supplied by Pagid.
