From Monday, the Mercedes-Benz factory in Kecskemét will produce again.
Mercedes indicated at the end of July that it was taking a three-week production break, the shutdown was necessary due to a lack of parts. According to the information at the time, the factory would adapt to the situation by flexibly modifying the production program, using the production break for the 30th, 31st and 32nd calendar weeks for maintenance activities and preparing for the series production of a new model. Contrary to plan, the shutdown lasted for the 33rd week, the World Economy wrote.
The semiconductor circuit maker Intel signaled back on April 22 that it did not see an end to the shortage of electronic components in the international market. Due to this, the Mercedes factory in Kecskemét already had a production shutdown in January and then in April this year.
