With a higher capacity battery pack, the BMW i3 is installed. The actual range has increased to 260 kilometers.
The BMW i3, presented in 2013, is now receiving a larger capacity battery for the second time: 94 Ah batteries were introduced in 2016 instead of the original 60 Ah, and now increased to 120 amperes without increasing the size of the battery pack.
The standard range is 285-310 km according to the new WLTP standard, and the i3s model can run 270-285 kilometers. The driving dynamics remain unchanged: the i3 with 170 bhp engine accelerates to 100 km / h in 7.3 seconds, with the 184 horsepower engine of the i3s only needing 6.9 seconds. Models accelerate from 80 to 120 in 5.1 and 4.3 seconds respectively. The new battery can be charged from the household socket to 80 percent in 15 hours, with the installation of the BMW wall outlet, this time can be shortened by 3 hours and 10 minutes, while with a lighter charger it has 80 percent in 42 minutes.
With a larger capacity battery pack, the BMW also offers a new sports package: a 10 mm axle, modified shock absorber, and a wider gauge pack for standard i3s.
