The series production of the second generation Audi Q3 was launched in Győr, the first vehicle rolling off the production line on Tuesday.
The Győr-based vehicle manufacturer will deliver the new Q3 in four engine versions, in three petrol and one diesel versions, with a front or four-wheel drive. The first urban off-road turbocharged in color.
At present, the number of pieces required for market introduction is manufactured, the model will be sold to dealers in November. In the future, this model will be the model of the factory in Győr, so the five models (A3 Limousine and Cabriolet, TT Coupé and Roadster and Q3) will make the most of them in Győr.
For a year and a half, a 80,000 square meter new body plant was built, and seven hundred new robots were installed. More than a thousand employees were trained during this time to acquire the knowledge needed to manufacture the Q3, and new, innovative robot cells were installed in the Audi Hungaria Training Center. The sporty model is made with A3 Limousine and Cabriolet as well as TT Coupé and Roadster, making the Győr factory one of the most flexible assembly belts within the Audi Group.
The company's annual production capacity is 160,000 and it employs some 4,500 people in the automotive industry. Last year, 16.5 percent fewer vehicles were produced in Győr than in 2016, 105 491 units.
