The latest brand of the British manufacturer, despite its convertibility, is hardly more difficult for its closed roof brother. And terribly fast.
McLaren introduced the fourth representative of its Longtail series last summer, the 600LT was awarded a solid sports car. The novelty is actually a heavily modified 570S, and the factories have replaced 23 percent of the base model's components. Now, the 600LT Spider has arrived with an opening top.
The roadster is harder than 50 kilograms at the cup, which is due to the fact that the base model is so rigid that no extra stiffeners were needed. The minimum weight of a car is just under 1297 kilograms, and the most discerning customers can save a few kilograms on both the hifin and the air conditioner. The big hit is that the 600LT Spider is 100 kg lighter than its predecessor 570S Spider and 80 kg lighter than its nearest rival.
The 3.8-liter V8 bit-turbocharged engine produces 600 horsepower and 620 Nm, enough for the 0-100 sprint to be shot in just 2.9 seconds, just like the coupe. From 0 to 200 can be accelerated in 8.4 seconds with the opening roof novelty, which is 0.2 seconds worse than the coupé production. The top speed is 324 km / h instead of 328, and the highest speed is 315 km / ha.
In addition to super-light and very strong sports brakes and the Pirelli Trofeo R, there is also an upstream exhaust, a fixed rear wing, a large diffuser like a McLaren P1, similar to McLaren Sennaé and Porsche 918 Spyder. or the extremely hard-running sports suspension.
