In order to protect against the coronavirus, Mol started the production of hand and surface disinfectant products, which are in short supply in Hungary.
Mol Lub Kft., Which belongs to the group of companies and is engaged in the production of lubricants, relocated one of the production lines of its apple fusing plant, which previously produced windscreen fluid, in just two weeks.
The unit works in three shifts and produces about 50,000 liters per day. The formulations for the two new products were based on WHO recommendations, which were tested and approved at record speed by the National Center for Public Health in view of the situation. Production and delivery will be continuous.
Mol also protects its refineries, plants and filling stations with this disinfectant against the virus so that it can always provide the country with an adequate supply of energy. At the same time, Mol Lub is working to start retail sales of the product as soon as possible so that the public can have access to the product, which is currently in short supply.
Mol Hygi is currently available in a 2-liter, recyclable plastic bottle, but Mol Lub will also use smaller packages from next month.
