Every predecessor promises better acceleration, precise driveability and great prospects for the mid-engine, eighth-generation Chevrolet Corvette.
The nose engine layout has reached its limits, we have had to choose a new configuration, said Mark Reuss, president of General Motors at Corvette World Premiere. One thing is for sure: thanks to the new layout, the traditional eight-cylinder resource could be a central decoration element, which was placed under the window for public viewing and to make the sight attractive, to develop and place all wires and screws.
The entire profile of the car has changed. The driving environment has moved 42 centimeters forward, so the dashboard has to be kept low: this is the purpose of the thin air intakes, the vertical climate control panel, and the square-cut steering wheel, which does not prevent the digital instrumentation from being read.
Before going into the point, let's take a look at the design elements: 12 body colors, 6 indoor color combinations, six-tone shade belts and two optional stitch colors (above the third-toned design). Three seats can be requested from the seat, from sporty comfort to carbon-fiber sports seats to almost racing.
The new layout of the drive chain required a brand new body structure. The central reinforcing element of this is the PTO shaft, which has made it unnecessary to use a thick, thick threshold for mid-motor supercars. As a result of the new structure, Corvette will be available for the first time in a right-hand drive, but the seating range has also improved significantly and the center of gravity has been deeper.
