The Museum Underground Garage and the promenade above it were handed over in the City Park on Sunday.
Under the Parade Square, an underground garage for eight hundred cars was created with electric car chargers, showers and bicycle storage. Twelve thousand square meters of green space was created above the underground garage.
The new car park, which can be used from Monday, can be used free of charge from seven in the evening until seven in the morning due to the epidemic. The interiors of the underground garage are decorated with copies of selected works from the collection of the National Gallery, which not only enhance the visual experience but also help with orientation.
On the walls, the audience can see reproductions of the geometric, non-figurative masterpieces of 12 outstanding Hungarian masters, including László Moholy-Nagy, Lajos Kassák, Dóra Maurer and Ilona Keserü, from the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts, the Hungarian National Gallery and the Vasarely Museum.
