For the third year in a row, Nissan has been refining its electric recreational vehicle: in 2017, the IMx study and last year, the concept also introduced as Ariya, preceded the electric recreational vehicle, which is now ready for series production.
Based on the brand new electric floor plate, the car will be available in four powertrain variants: with front and all-wheel drive, and with a battery with a capacity of 65 or 90 kWh. Power varies between 218 and 394 horsepower (see table at end of article)
The car is not made special by its electric powertrain, but by the design that introduces the brand's new image and its self-driving capabilities.
In the former case, the floor panel developed for a purely electric drive allowed for an uncompromising design. The front panel thus does not appear to have triggered a functional grille; the bottom edge of the panel is illuminated so you can see from the outside when the car is ready to go. The headlights consist of four projectors of 20 mm each, with the turn signal running light. The car will be available in nine two-tone and five solid colors.
