Objects left on trains and buses of the MÁV-Volán group will be added to a common database - MÁV announced to MTI on Monday.
It was pointed out that, like MÁV-Start, Volánbusz also introduced a centralized electronic lost property register, and thanks to group-level development, from May 2, 2022, objects found on trains and buses, as well as at stations, will be managed in a common database.
It is explained that after recording, the data will immediately appear in the MÁVDIREKT system. Passengers can inquire by calling one of the 24-hour phone numbers (+36 1 3 49 49 49, Telekom network +36 30 499 4999, Yettel network +36 20 499 4999, Vodafone network + 36 70 499 4999).
According to the announcement, about 7,500 found objects were handed in to the railway company and 5,000 to the bus company last year. More than 4,000 of the former and 3,000 of the latter were returned to their owners.
