An affordable electric car would break into the markets of several European countries with Chinese-owned MG. The electric version of the ZS can cover 370 kilometers in a city with a single charge.
MG went bankrupt in 2005, along with the English Rover, which represented the more sporty line. The company was acquired by the Chinese SAIC, who carry on the development of the English brand with self-developed models. They'll be meeting these types on UK roads, and now they'll ride two fashion waves with their first electric car, a recreational vehicle.
The MG ZS EV's design is a bit Korean, with a bit of a toe cap and the interior is not too imaginative, but it does try to forget all this with its great value. Conversely, the electric crossover starts at a price of less than 8 million HUF, and its battery is guaranteed for 7 years or 160 thousand kilometers. Initially, I would like to sell the product only in the English market, but later in most parts of Europe, and in the second round I would like to reach Dutch customers.
The electric MG ZS is powered by front-wheel drive and 143 horsepower with 353 Nm of torque. It accelerates to 100 in 8.5 seconds and has a top speed of 140 km / h. With its 44.5 kWh battery, it promises a range of more than 260 kilometers, but the city can reach up to 370 kilometers. With a 50 kilowatt lightning charger, the car can be charged to 80 percent in less than three-quarters of an hour.
