The Taycan can be scolded for its not too long range, but its acceleration is amazing in all speed ranges.
When it comes to deceleration acceleration, almost everyone immediately has one of the Tesla flashes through their brains, which is no wonder, since the American manufacturer’s electric cars actually produce neck-shattering acceleration. Recently, however, Porsche’s first electric car, the Taycan, appeared on the scene, which can’t compete with the Tesla on the range front, but the manufacturer has focused this pioneering model on this rather than on driving dynamics.
We already knew that if you had to accelerate from standstill to 100 km / h, the Taycan would beat the Tesla, but what about flexibility? That is, how these super-expensive sports electric cars accelerate at a highway pace.
Well, according to the latest data, even though a Taycan Turbo S weighs 2,370 kilograms, its 761 horsepower and 1,050 Nm of torque allow it to accelerate from 100 to 160 in just 3.5 seconds. This takes Tesla Model S Performance 3.8 seconds and Model 3 Performance 4.7 seconds.
From 160 to 200, the roughest Taycan also accelerates in 3.5 seconds. The Tesla Model S solves the same in 4.4 seconds and the Tesla Model 3 in 5.9 seconds.
It’s easy to predict that the Taycan Turbo S will accelerate from 100 to 200 in about 7 seconds, which takes 8.2 seconds for the Model S and 10.6 seconds for the Model 3.
