Škoda has delivered a record car to its customers in July. Thus, over seven months he has delivered more than 750,000 vehicles.
A record number of 99,700 cars were delivered to Škoda customers in July, which is 14.6 percent more than in July 2017, the Czech automaker said in a statement.
In Europe, Škoda has recorded two-digit growth, likewise in Russia, China and India. In July, 40,600 cars were sold in Western Europe, up 17 percent a year. In Eastern Europe, 4100 Škoda passed, a 27 percent increase. In Russia, the 6600 cars sold were 25 percent more, while in China 25 100 cars were sold, 14 percent more than a year ago in July.
In July, the Octavia model was the best one, altogether 30,700 were sold.
"The July result confirmed that the record for the first half was not a coincidence. In the coming months, we expect this trend to continue, among other things by launching the highly upgraded Fabia model, "said Alain Favey, the company's marketing director. The new Fabia show is going on these days, and soon we'll be reporting on it.
The company has sold 652,700 cars in the first half of the year, 11.6 percent more than in the first six months of last year.
Škoda Auto has sold 1.2 million cars last year, and it is expected that this year will bring another record. Škoda's last year's after-tax profit amounted to HRK 31.8 billion, with HRK 407.4 billion in revenue.
The company employs about 35,000 people and is present in more than 100 countries around the world.
