Developed by the Škoda Vision RS study, the Scala World Premiere of the Škoda Rapidot Switchboard is held in Tel Aviv on December 6th. Earlier, some details have been ventilated, now the dashboard of the prospective lower-middle car has been shown in the drawing.
The most striking feature of the dashboard is the huge, up to 9.2-inch central touch screen, whose silhouette is supposedly reminiscent of the Scala bonnet. Under the central display, you will find an ergonomic palm rest to help you manage your functions.
According to Škoda, this category is the largest multimedia monitor; however, it is dwarfed by the 10.25-inch digital instrument panel, which is offered as an option for a compact but spacious car.
The completely redesigned dashboard and door panels have a soft-touch, new-grained surface.
Inside, red or white lighting awaits the passengers, warm-tone seat trim gives contrasting stitching, but even Suedia synthetic leather upholstery can be ordered.
The Scala promises to be very spacious: an abundant wheelbase (2649 mm) with the same rear knee (73 mm) as the Octaviá, a category front head space (982 mm) and the segment's largest (467 l) boot.
Doors can be locked and unlocked from smartphones, maps and multimedia systems can be upgraded via a wireless connection - Scala will be the first "constantly online" Škoda model that probably includes a built-in SIM data connection.
