In his interview with Kossuth Radio, István Tarlós said that the demolition of the downtown of Budapest is also among the long-term development plans.
One of the most important conditions for the mayor's re-establishment was the establishment of the Budapest Development Council, co-chaired by the Prime Minister and the mayor.
Some of the developments contained therein have a longer term perspective, which will mean improvements and implementation deadlines by 2030.
As far as the expected developments are concerned, a list of 62 points summarizes the projects that could be realized in the coming years from a total of HUF 1,100 billion.
The list includes public area developments, renovation of buildings, development of newer buildings and renovation of entire neighborhoods, along with the development of related transport links.
