The engine and vehicle factory stopped almost one hundred percent. Workers are held several meetings at several points of the factory during the day, while the so-called team rooms are waiting for them.
The AHFSZ announced a one-week strike on the entire territory of the factory from 6 am to 31st of January on the morning of Thursday, as it declared ineffective wage negotiations since September.
The strike committee was founded by the trade union on January 14, and on January 18, during the seven-day conciliation period, a two-hour warning strike took place across the factory, with more than four thousand employees.
At the last Tuesday's meeting, the negotiation delegation handed over its strike claim to the company again, which did not change significantly compared to the previous one.
The claim includes a one-year wage agreement, raising the base wage by applying a combined wage increase of 18 percent, but a minimum of $ 75,000. In addition, four percent of the mobile salary would be included in the basic salary, each worker would have one full weekend in a month, and the employee could have child and age-related leave.
The amount of the optional fringe benefit may be increased from the current 620,000 forints to 787,000 forints, further develop the loyalty bonus and introduce the anniversary bonus.
In two years, Audi proposed a twenty percent wage increase, but on January 17th it handed over to the advocacy an “almost identical” offer with new content elements compared to the previous offer. This offer was not accepted by the wage negotiating delegation.
Audi Hungaria Zrt's communications department told MTI's interest on Wednesday that the company acknowledged the fact of the strike, preparing for any consequences.
The AHFSZ has about nine thousand members. Audi employs some 13,000 people in Audi.
