In October, 11,946 new cars were put on the market in Hungary, four percent less than a year earlier.
According to the data of the Association of Hungarian Motor Vehicle Importers (MGE), in the first ten months of the year, about 102,000 new passenger cars were on the market, which is a 20 percent decrease year-on-year.
MGE revised its forecast for 2020 in April, seeing only 118,000 new passenger cars on the market this year instead of the previously expected 155,000.
Launched in October, the 1953 new light commercial vehicle was 8 percent less than a year earlier. In the January-October period, 17,174 light commercial vehicles were placed on the market, a decrease of 19 percent year-on-year.
