Magyar Suzuki Zrt arrived at a milestone: the half-millionth Vitara rolled down from the Esztergom production line.
In spring 2015, Vitara's domestic production started, and now the half-millionth copy of the model has been completed at Suzuki's Esztergom factory.
This is an important milestone for the Hungarian company, as it is the first model that produced such a large amount in such a short time.
The two former favorites, the SX4 and the newer generation Swift, did not reach half a million, just approaching it.
After 2017, Vitara was also at the forefront of new car sales statistics in 2018: last year, 11,127 units were sold. Of the half a million Vitar produced by Magyar Suzuki, 31,658 were registered in Hungary, while the rest were exported not only to Europe but also to the island of Vanuatu in the Dominican Republic, Guatemala or the Southwest Pacific.
