The Czech brand of the Volkswagen Group has unveiled a new version of the Octavia recreational car.
In November last year, Skoda introduced the new Octavia, which it had already sent to series production in December, and recently arrived in Hungary. From the sedan and station wagon type, the recreational car version, the station wagon-based Scout, has now emerged.
Like its predecessors, the new Octavia Scout has not become a real SUV, but if you leave the paved roads with it, the ground clearance increased by 15 millimeters can come in handy. Whereas the basic model used to be all-wheel drive, the cheaper model is now available with front-wheel drive.
The entry level is the 150-horsepower 1.5-liter TSI petrol engine and the 115-horsepower 2-liter TDI unit, which are associated with a six-speed manual transmission. In addition to the 1.5-liter TSI e-TEC engine with soft hybrid technology, a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission is already fitted.
The peak is represented by the 190-horsepower 2-liter TSI petrol engine and the 200-horsepower and 400 Nm torque 2-liter TDI unit. These resources can only be ordered with automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
